More museo archeologico

We saw so many amazing mosaics and frescoes from Pompeii excavation. Also a complete silver dinner service for four. Bronze cookware, gold jewelry. To scale replica of the excavation in Pompeii. Another room held the Herculaneum ruin finds. The Greek gods are well represented.

First day in Napoli

We slept about 12 hours after our  not sleeping for close to two days. Ready for Napoli. After lunch headed for museo cappella San sevaro. But found  a place to eat sfogliatella on the way. Pastry stuffed with ricotta. Very yummy. The museo was a private chapel holding the veiled Christ. No pictures allowed. Fascinating but no pictures so off to the museo archeological nazionale. Got a tour guide as nothing in English. Ruins in the middle of the Piazza. Just like that.

The call about my luggage was interesting. Maybe it comes to the airport at 2, maybe 8, maybe next day…..luckily it was waiting for me in the room after our first day. Two days in the same clothes….

How do we get out of Paris?

First day not our best. Missed the connecting flight from Paris to Naples. We got the runaround at the airport trying to get rebooked without them charging for a new flight. Mary left her purse with everything in it in the bathroom in baggage and we couldn’t get back to it from ticketing. Luckily an honest person turned it in. Finally got to Naples via Turin after being up for 30+ hours. Guess what? Joyce has no luggage. Still searching for it. Our driver Massimo was very nice and waited for us to get to the hotel. Nice! Costaninopoli 104. Complimentary limoncello and nocillo, digestive liquors.
Yes!
